Yay, paid holidays.
Memorial day money lolz!
On Memorial Day I was earning almost $30/hour. How? Certainly not by having a Memorial Day BBQ.
Sony: paid day off! W00t! 7.5 hours of $14/hour for... working at Starbucks!
Starbucks: 8 hours at time-and-a-half for working on a holiday. (Base pay $9.50. Time-and-a-half: $14.25. Even better -- I stayed for a ninth hour (dubble time!) because the shift was so hectic. Even better: I'm getting a free hour thanks to something called a "Meal Break Violation". Manager's gonna PWN me.
I'll point this out when I get paper copies of those checks and scan 'em in.
